Alexey Tsoy, Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the National Center of Neurosurgery
09/24/2020 The National Center for Neurosurgery was visited by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alexey Tsoy.
During the visit, the minister was introduced to the results of the Center’s activities. For twelve years, neurosurgery doctors have performed more than 32 thousand operations and introduced about 70 new neurosurgical technologies, with the help of which they put the most difficult patients, including children, on their feet.
The head of the Ministry of Health got acquainted with the work of the diagnostic and clinical departments of the Center and held an informal meeting with young specialists. In addition, the minister inspected the training center, which was created to conduct training courses on simulators, and the work of the biobank at the Center, created within the framework of a scientific project for the study of brain gliomas, was shown.
Then Alexey Tsoy visited the department of transfusiology, a distinctive feature of which is the centralization of transfusiological care. Specialists of this department, in addition to their main work, carry out unique experimental developments, such as blood-saving technologies: intraoperative instrumental reinfusion of autoerythrocytes, integral assessment of hemostasis – thromboelastography.
In the department of hospital pharmacy, the minister was told about the results of the introduced technology, which made it possible to increase the efficiency of treatment and the rationality of the use of medicines.
The head of the Ministry of Health also visited the radiology department, where he got acquainted with the work of the angiographic operating room and the progress of the construction of a separate unit where the gamma knife will function.
As a result of his visit, Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Tsoy highly appreciated the level of work of the Center and wished the staff great labor success.
