Agro-industrial complex and investment activity are priorities for the development of Aksu district

Last Friday, akim of the Zhetisu region Beibit Isabayev, as part of a working trip, got acquainted with the implementation of investment projects in the Aksu district, paying special attention to the development of the agricultural potential of the region, the press service of the akim of the Zhetisu region reports.
One of the major investor companies in the region is LLP “Agroholding Aksu” with the attraction of about 5 billion tenge of investments. So, this year it is planned to put into operation a cheese production plant and a pedigree dairy farm for 1,300 heads. Over 600 cows of the Jersey breed of dairy cows have been imported from Denmark, special equipment for the plant has already been purchased. After the commissioning of the 1st MTF, the construction of another one will begin, also for 1300 heads.
But Aksu HPP LLP is building a trout farm with a design capacity of 170 tons of marketable fish. At present, the construction of the building of the incubation shop has been completed, the construction of the main and incubation pools for trout fry is underway. The initial investment is 350 million tenge with the creation of 12 jobs. The enterprise placed its refrigeration units with a total capacity of 1,000 tons in the border area of Panfilov. It is planned that after the primary processing, part of the fish products will be exported.
Aksu sugar factory is modernizing in order to launch a production line for processing sugar cane. After completion of the modernization works, the plant will be able to process 450,000 tons of sugar beet, and it will be possible to produce up to 65,000 tons of sugar per year.
As B. Isabayev noted, the area under sugar beet will gradually increase:
– First of all, it is necessary to solve the problem with irrigation water, which is what we are doing now, carrying out the reconstruction of irrigation canals. In parallel, we will process both sugar beet and sugar cane. Thanks to this, the Koksu sugar factory works all year round. The Aksu sugar factory is preparing to switch to the same system of work. At the same time, the plant, as an anchor production, must be included in the work to improve the quality of crop cultivation. The state provides the necessary support, and we need a response initiative, help to farmers from entrepreneurs. This is beneficial to everyone. It is also necessary to mechanize the process in the fields, now about 90% of the work is done manually, and this is hard work, – the regional akim noted.
It must be said that the restoration of the Kyzylagash dam, the design volume of which is 42 million m3, contributes to the solution of the problem of lack of irrigation water in the region. The area of suspended areas exceeds 1400 hectares. Today, a test process is being carried out for the safety and strength of a new water facility by filling the bowl every year. Commissioning is scheduled for the end of this year. In the meantime, 53 contracts have already been concluded for the supply of irrigation water through the main canals “Kapsalan-1, 2”, “Aktogan”, “Aral”, under the contract the volume of water supply is over 9 million m3, while the approved annual water withdrawal limit is about 11 million m3. In addition, the irrigation networks of the Kyzylagash dam will allow another 5,300 hectares to be put into circulation. This year, funds have been allocated for their repair, competitive procedures are underway.
At the same time, the construction and reconstruction of the irrigation networks of the region continues, which will allow the restoration of about 12 thousand hectares of irrigated land. To date, 15 km of networks have been laid, another 60 km are left, work is being carried out taking into account the growing season, completion is in the autumn of this year. In general, thanks to the reconstruction of irrigation networks and reservoirs in Aksu, Sarkan and Alakol regions, it is planned to put into circulation over 25 thousand hectares of irrigated land.
As part of the working trip, Beibit Isabayev also inspected the progress of the overhaul and construction of a number of social facilities. Overhaul of the secondary school named after Tokhtarov in the village. According to the schedule, Sagabuyen is scheduled to be completed by October, so that in the second quarter, students can start studying in their own renovated school, but for now, like last year, they will continue their studies in a specially designated building.
