A status of a settlement to dachas will be developed in the Almaty region

In the Almaty region, a mechanism will be developed that will allow dacha communities and horticultural associations to give the status of a settlement, which will solve the most pressing issues of life support for more than 183 thousand people living only in the Almaty agglomeration. In general, there are 705 summer cottages in the region, in 189 of them more than 200 people live permanently. Therefore, the dacha issue is gaining more and more relevance every day. Its effective solution is also significant for the residents of the Enbekshikazakh district, where there are 135 dachas. It is not surprising that most of the questions asked to the oblast akim during today’s meeting concerned this particular area, the press service of the akim of the Almaty region reports.

Answering questions, Kanat Bozumbayev said that in order for summer residents to have the necessary infrastructure, and this is primarily schools, kindergartens, hospitals, roads, street lighting, centralized water and gas supply, it is necessary to first resolve the issue of giving them the status of a settlement. After all, according to Kazakhstani legislation, local executive authorities can invest budgetary funds only in the development of rural and urban areas, and not in dacha cooperatives.
– I reported on this problem to the President of the country, the head of government. Necessary support and approval obtained. Now we are allocating 500-700 million tenge to each district for adjusting the general plans and the subsequent development of detailed planning plans. I think that this year we will finish the laborious work on the master plans. Next year we will do the RAP. Then we will submit a budget request to receive funds from the republican budget, and we will also allocate funds from the local budget. Within 2-3 years, the dachas will receive the status of settlements. I think that these are quite tolerable terms, considering how long this problem has not found any significant solution, – said the regional akim.
