THE DELEGATION OF THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION HELD A NUMBER OF MEETINGS IN PAKISTAN

Representatives of 15 OIC member countries and 2 organizations of the OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technical Cooperation (COMSTECH) took part in the OIC Dialogue Platform – 15. The event discussed the upcoming first meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the OIC countries responsible for education, science and technology in Astana in 2023.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Science Committee Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki informed about the initiative of the Head of State to establish the National Council for Science and Technology under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and also spoke about the prospects and opportunities for domestic science and ongoing reforms in this area.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold online negotiations at the beginning of next year, with the invitation of all interested parties, in order to determine areas for further interaction.
Recall that the “OIC Dialogue Platform – 15” is a consultative and advisory mechanism that unites 15 countries (Malaysia, Turkey, UAE, Tunisia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Lebanon, Azerbaijan) in the field of science and technology.
