The Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan inspected medical facilities and checked the readiness of the health care system of the East Kazakhstan region for a possible new wave of coronavirus infection. In particular, the provision of the region with influenza vaccines, medicines, medical devices, and mobile teams.
The head of the Ministry of Health visited the Ust-Kamenogorsk city hospital №4, designed for 150 beds. Specialized and highly specialized medical care for patients with respiratory pathology is deployed here. The pulmonary department with the organization of the entire medical and diagnostic infrastructure was transferred to a separate building. Given the epidemiological situation, the hospital is fully equipped and, if necessary, can be used to hospitalize people with acute respiratory viral infections and influenza during the period of seasonal exacerbation, including COVID-19. The diagnostic unit of the hospital is equipped with mobile X-ray machines and a computed tomography apparatus. A feature of the laboratory service of the city hospital No. 4 in the presence of a PCR laboratory with a wide range of studies. All wards are equipped with centralized access to oxygen. For severely ill patients, there are 15 beds in the intensive care unit equipped with ventilators, monitors, and other medical and diagnostic equipment.
Aleksey Tsoy also visited the polyclinic № 2 in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The medical organization is designed for 667 visits per shift, 95 doctors and 233 paramedical personnel work here. The polyclinic has a 28-bed therapeutic department, a 6-bed surgical department, and a 22-bed therapy department. Since the beginning of the year, over 3000 patients have been treated here.
Another object, which was inspected by the minister, is the diagnostic center of the KGP on the REM “East Kazakhstan Regional Hospital”, which provides specialized and high-tech medical care to the adult population in the form of inpatient, inpatient replacement, consultative diagnostic, and telemedicine assistance. The main activity is the treatment of diseases of the circulatory system. The hospital is equipped with modern equipment and instruments for carrying out 16 types of high-tech operations, including those on the heart, blood vessels, joints, etc.
A. Tsoy also visited the National Center for Expertise of the East Kazakhstan region, where he got acquainted with the activities of the enterprise.
In total, 1,378,527 people live in the East Kazakhstan region, the number of inpatient hospitals and polyclinics is 31, of which 27 are public and 4 are private with 373 mobile teams. As of September 1, 8213 people fell ill in the KVI region, 38 died. The number of ventilators is 241, oxygen concentrators 1056.
