10 thousand Almaty families will improve their living conditions in the framework of the program for the demolition of dilapidated housing for the period from  2017 to 2024

Bauyrzhan Baibek, akim of Almaty  held a retreat for the implementation of a new program for the demolition of dilapidated housing for the period from  2017 to 2024, within the framework of which it is planned to renovate 1034 dilapidated buildings on the city’s territory.

As reported to the head of the city, within the program, about 10 thousand Almaty families will improve their living conditions. For residents of the city, more than 30,000 apartments will be additionally put into operation at affordable prices, with the provision of new social facilities, incl. Schools, kindergartens, polyclinics, as well as modernization of engineering communications, landscaping, etc. The investments in the total amount of about 400 billion tenge will be attracted to the city economy in the next seven years with the creation of more than 70,000 new jobs.

“Our goal is not only to update houses, but also to reduce house prices, open new jobs and to attract investment. The head of state instructed on the need for construction not only in the framework of the Nurly Jer Program, but also at the expense of attracting extrabudgetary funds. We have all the conditions for this in the city, and we will continue to work in this direction, “said Bauyrzhan Baibek.

He also noted that in the design and construction of new housing it is necessary to comply with the standards, taking into account the increasing pressure on communication and the network, and also focused the attention of the authorized bodies on providing the proper infrastructure in the near-by territories of new buildings.

During the working tour, the head of the city got acquainted with the already built residential buildings in the framework of the program “Old housing” on the street.
