Visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary to Kazakhstan

– Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Siyarto is in Nur-Sultan on an official visit, during which bilateral talks were held with Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi.
The parties discussed ways to further expand Kazakh-Hungarian cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, as well as interaction within the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking States (Turkic Council). A number of issues of the international nature of mutual interest were considered, including in relation to the simplification of the EU visa regime for Kazakhstanis.
Following the talks, the following documents were signed: a Memorandum of Understanding between the foreign ministries of the two countries on cooperation in the field of official development assistance, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute for Foreign Policy Research under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and the Institute of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary, as well as the Program of Cooperation in the Field of Culture at 2021-2023 between the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Human Resources of Hungary on cooperation.
Strengthening trade and economic ties became the key topic of the meeting of the Hungarian minister with members of the Diplomatic Business Club with the participation of about 30 major representatives of the business circles of the two countries.
During the visit, P. Siyarto will be received by the President and will hold a meeting with the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as visit the Astana International Financial Center, the Turkic Academy, and the Eurasian National University. L. Gumilyov.
Within the framework of humanitarian cooperation, it should be noted that today about 1000 Kazakhstani students study in Hungary. Hungary annually allocates 250 educational grants to Kazakhstan.
