The SSIF is ready to promptly assign payments to health workers upon receipt of applications from the Ministry of Health
The State Social Insurance Fund (hereinafter referred to as the SSIF), upon receipt of applications from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Health), is ready to promptly assign lump-sum social payments to medical workers involved in the fight against COVID-19 in case of infection with coronavirus infection or viral pneumonia, and also to their relatives in case of death.
As of 10:00 a.m. on July 31, the Ministry of Health received 123 applications for payments to health workers in case of infection with COVID-19 or viral pneumonia. By regions, the largest number of applications came from Almaty (46), Almaty (38) and North Kazakhstan (10) regions. For all applications received, a one-time payment was made from the State Social Insurance Fund in the amount of 2 million tenge.
The State Fiscal Service has not received applications for the death of a medical worker from coronavirus infection or viral pneumonia.
As previously reported, health workers who are entitled to the above payment are determined by special commissions at health departments of regions and cities of republican significance based on the results of examination of sick medical workers. The general set of applications is formed by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Let us recall that in accordance with the changes made on July 22 of this year. in the joint order of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 9 this year. “On the approval of the Rules for the implementation of a one-time social payment to healthcare workers involved in anti-epidemic measures to combat coronavirus infection COVID-19, in the event of their infection or death from this infection”, the above payment is due:
– medical workers in case of infection with coronavirus infection or viral pneumonia – 2 million tenge;
– families of these persons in case of their death from infection with coronavirus infection COVID-19, viral pneumonia – 10 million tenge.
