SK-PHARMACY PROVIDES TIMELY DELIVERY OF VACCINES IN THE REGIONS

Doctors call vaccination and herd immunity the most effective prevention of coronavirus. To develop it, you need to vaccinate at least 60% of the adult population of the country.
So, on behalf of the Head of State in Kazakhstan, voluntary vaccination of the population against coronavirus infection began on February 1, 2021.
In pursuance of the order at the beginning of the year, the Single Distributor of SK-Pharmacy purchased 2 million 90 thousand dose sets of the Russian vaccine Sputnik V within the framework of the previously signed Agreement between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
Since February 1, 922,890 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine have been delivered to the regions. Vaccine delivery is carried out in stages according to the schedule. It should be noted that the supply of vaccine to the regions has continued to grow since the start of mass vaccination. Thus, the total volume of vaccines will ensure the availability of vaccination for more than 2 million citizens of the country.

Distribution of vaccines by region is carried out in agreement with the “Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Control” of the MZRK, as well as vaccines included in the National Vaccination Schedule of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In order to strictly follow the instructions for storage and transportation of vaccines and to prevent negative consequences, the logistics of immunobiological preparations by the Single Distributor is carried out in compliance with all GMP and GDP standards, as well as the “cold chain”.
For three months now, in all regions, as part of the stages of vaccination, those who are at the forefront of the fight against the virus have been vaccinated against the coronavirus – medical workers, law enforcement and security officials, and teachers. Since April, the country has started vaccination for the entire population. To obtain the effect of herd immunity, vaccination in the country is planned to cover 10 million people.
Prime Minister Askar Mamin, in accordance with the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to increase the number of vaccinated in the regions of the country, was instructed from April this year in the regions to provide vaccination of 2 million people monthly. It is planned to complete the vaccination of 10 million citizens in September.
Today, vaccinations are carried out in polyclinics, and in shopping centers, and in bazaars, and in mobile vaccination points. The Sputnik V vaccine is used, both imported from Russia and produced in Kazakhstan. The local QazVac vaccine should be in circulation by the end of April.
In addition, at present, to fully cover the vaccination program for the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan and ensure its continuity, the issue of purchasing vaccines from other manufacturers is being worked out.
At the same time, the Single Distributor carried out work in advance to create the necessary stock of disposable self-destructive syringes for vaccination, equipped with a device that blocks the repeated movement of the piston. For 2021, the Single Distributor purchased 1.4 million syringes, as well as an additional 19.8 million units for full vaccination coverage of the population, taking into account the introduction of I and II components of the vaccine.
To date, 11.4 million units of syringes have been delivered to the warehouses of the Single Distributor ahead of schedule, of which 2.94 million units have been shipped to the regions on the basis of the order of health departments, which is enough for the shipped volume of vaccine against CVI. Thus, the Single Distributor has created a stock of auto-disable syringes for full coverage of the population with vaccinations.
