Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev expresses condolences to the families of those killed in the plane crash

Head of State Kassym-Zhomart Tokaev expressed deep condolences to the families and friends of citizens who died as a result of the crash of a passenger plane near Almaty.

The President instructed to provide assistance to the victims and announced the creation of a special government commission led by Prime Minister Askar Mamin. The head of state also instructed to bring those responsible to strict liability in accordance with the law.

The Head of State met with Alexey Borodavkin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Kazakhstan 
During the meeting, the state and prospects of the Kazakh-Russian strategic partnership were discussed.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev positively assessed the dynamics of bilateral relations, noting progress in all areas of cooperation, including trade and economic, investment, industrial, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

In turn, Alexey Borodavkin informed the President about the implementation of the agreements at the highest level, as well as the Embassy’s activities in strengthening cooperation between the two states.

The head of state met with Academician Askar Dzhumadildaev

During the meeting, the prospects for the development of national education and science, the changes taking place in society and the issues of educating the younger generation were discussed.

A number of ideas and suggestions were also considered regarding the development of the Kazakh language and its translation into Latin script.
