The other day, a meeting was held between the Vice Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan     R. Beggary and the Vice Minister of Industry and Infrastructure RK D. Scheglova with representatives of Universities to include new professions of the MMC sectors

In order to support industrial enterprises in their digital transformation, the Ministry is working on the creation of the Industry 4.0 innovation cluster, representatives of 13 Universities of the country and BTS Education companies discussed the inclusion of new professions of the MMC sectors in the educational program for the 2020-2021 academic year.

As noted at the meeting, the digital transformation process is not possible without the training of qualified personnel. Therefore, today, work is underway with MTSZN, MES and VTS Education in 9 areas of the mining and metallurgy sector, engineering, transport, logistics, and construction industries for the implementation of the national project “Atlas of new professions and competencies in demand on the labor market”.

According to the intermediate results within the framework of the BTS Education Atlas, a list of popular new professions in the MMC sectors has been compiled.

Based on the list, the Ministry is carrying out relevant work with universities in the country, where 8 universities have expressed their willingness to train personnel in new specialties, whose representatives said that it is possible to develop new training paths for the 2020-2021 academic year.

During the meeting, Vice-Minister D. Shcheglova expressed her readiness to develop and conclude a Memorandum with universities, followed by media coverage of the priority professions planned for the announcement for applicants in the MMC sectors.

The ministry expresses confidence that this work will give a positive result in the training of demanded and qualified personnel in the MMC sectors for the next 5 years.
