The Samruk-Kazyna Fund expands the opportunities for domestic producers to participate in procurement.
Chairman of the Board of “Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund” JSC Akhmetzhan Yesimov noted that “the group of companies of the Fund is one of the largest taxpayers in Kazakhstan and a lot of work has been done to expand the participation of domestic producers”.
“We have increased open tenders by 2.6 times and saved five times as much from an open tender than from one source, not to mention the other nuances of this issue,” said Akhmetzhan Yesimov.
Since the beginning of this year, 2,360 domestic suppliers have received orders from the companies of the Samruk-Kazyna Fund group for KZT 216 billion, and a further increase in orders is planned before the end of 2020.
On March 17, at a meeting of the board of “Samruk-Kazyna” NWF JSC, as part of the implementation of the Presidential Decree on the stabilization of the economy, decisions were made aimed at supporting Kazakhstani entrepreneurs. Such a solution makes it possible for Kazakhstani entrepreneurs to access procurements, expands the opportunities for domestic producers to participate in procurements, not limited by the availability of certificates (ST-KZ, industrial certificates).
Now, for Samruk-Kazyna, there are enough lists approved by akims confirming the status of a commodity producer.
There were established requirements for the customer, designer and contractor for the use of products of Kazakhstan producers. Under the new rules, they will be exempted from making a tender and securing the execution of contracts, which will not distract their working capital.
Also, the Fund is considering the possibility of cooperation with city-forming enterprises and small towns in the direction of targeted placement of orders, utilization of production capacities and the possibility of advance delivery of goods.
