During the working visit for the development of “Kok-Zhailau”, the director of “Almaty Mountain Resorts” LLP Nail Nurov told that during the analysis of the territory given for the creation of a year-round mountain resort, 5 hectares of land were revealed which had been given to private ownership in 2002.
According to the information of the automated information system of the state land cadastre, the area of 5 hectares was located on the territory of the Almaty region and was transferred to private ownership in 2002. In 2014, in connection with the change of borders of Almaty, the above-mentioned land plot entered the borders of the Medeu district of the city.
The governor of the city Bauyrzhan Baibek instructed the responsible departments in accordance with the legislation to begin the process of returning land to state ownership.
“We have repeatedly said that there will be no private property in” Kok-Zhailau. ” This project is under special control, and we will follow the public with its transparency. After the preparation of the final feasibility study of the project, public hearings will be held on it,” said Bauyrzhan Baibek.
As previously reported, the city’s governor instructed to return to the land fund of the Ile-Alatau State National Natural Park about 100 hectares of land from the previously allocated 1002 hectares. This measure is associated with the optimization of the project in almost two times. Compared with the project in 2014, the construction area was reduced by 10 times, from 300 thousand to 30 thousand square meters. The number of ski runs has been reduced from 77 to 18, most of which are aimed at beginners. The number of seats in the hotel has been reduced from 6,500 to 250 seats. Instead of two lakes for artificial snow making, only one will be created.
