President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the founder of the Orbis Kazakhstan group of companies Farrukh Makhmudov

The head of state was informed about the performance results and development prospects of Orbis Kazakhstan.
In particular, Farrukh Makhmudov told the President about plans to build a full-cycle automobile plant, Orbis Manufacturing, in the Almaty industrial park. The project will unite on one production site such brands from China as Exeed and Kaiyi, with which agreements have already been reached on 100% small-scale production. The total investment in the project will be 72 billion tenge. At the first stage, 1,500 new jobs will be created. Production capacity is 80 thousand cars per year, which will be supplied both to the domestic market and to foreign markets, including the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus region.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the company’s participation in the development of infrastructure in Astana. This year, Orbis plans to complete the construction of a shopping and market complex here and begin construction of a multidisciplinary medical clinic. At the same time, the company plans to begin construction of the Agro Park wholesale distribution center.
In addition, the group of companies is implementing a number of projects to develop the Almaty tourism cluster. Reconstruction of the historical Almaty Hotel, a symbol of the southern capital, has begun, construction of the Prosveshchenets recreational center and a multifunctional recreation center in Konaev are underway.
Along with this, the Head of State was informed about the company’s contribution to eliminating the consequences of floods in the settlements of Aksu and Kentubek in the West Kazakhstan region. Farrukh Makhmudov thanked the President for his continued support of Kazakh business.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev positively assessed the company’s initiatives and wished further success in the implementation of new projects.
