A meeting with representatives of the financial institution Societe Generale took place at the Ministry of Industry and Construction
Azamat Panbaev, the Chairman of the Committee on Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held a meeting with representatives from the financial institution Societe Generale. The main goal of the meeting was to review a list of priority investment projects and to develop plans for their financing.
Founded in 1864, the Societe Generale Group is one of the world’s oldest and largest banking institutions. It operates through a network of branches, subsidiaries, and banks in 66 countries, with its head office located in Paris. Its main focus is on providing corporate and investment banking services.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Committee on Industry presented the key sectors within the Ministry of Industry and Construction. He emphasized the critical need to attract foreign investments for projects within the sectors of machinery manufacturing, metallurgy, processing industry, and chemical industry. Teiba Guliyeva, the head of the Societe Generale group’s Central Asia and Caucasus region, highlighted the key industrial projects that are eligible for financing.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the financial institution noted the importance of partnership with Kazakhstan and expressed their interest in investing in promising projects.
