International scientific conference of young scientists in Almaty
On November 17, 2023, an important scientific event will be held in Almaty – the International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists “Fundamental and Applied Research in the Field of Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology.”
The conference is dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry named after M.A. Aitkhozhina.
Scientists from Kazakhstan, the UK, France, Russia, Azerbaijan and Belarus will gather in Almaty to discuss the latest scientific achievements, exchange experiences and ideas, and establish connections for future collaborations. This event will provide participants with the opportunity to experience cutting-edge research in the world of molecular biology and biochemistry, and to contribute to the development of the field.
Molecular biology and biochemistry play a critical role in understanding the basic processes of life at the molecular and cellular level. Scientists in the field of molecular biology and biochemistry work and conduct research in such areas as: Medicine (development of drugs, diagnostic methods, treatment of cancer, infectious diseases, genetic disorders and other medical problems); Agriculture and food security (creation of resistant varieties of crops, genetically modified plants to increase yields, development of methods to combat diseases and pests); Energy (development of biofuels and clean energy sources based on biological processes); Environment (development of methods for bioremediation, purification of water and soil from pollutants); Food science (the study of digestion, food processing and the development of new products); Biotechnology and genetic engineering (creation of new methods for the production of drugs, biomaterials, and genetically modified organisms); Scientific research (development of fundamental scientific knowledge, which contributes to a general understanding of life and its processes), etc.
The conference organizing committee invites media representatives to join the scientific event to share current developments with the general public and inspire new generations of researchers.
