Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis

The head of state received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis, who is in Astana on an official visit.
The interlocutors discussed the prospects for the development of Kazakh-Lithuanian relations, paying special attention to strengthening trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as interaction within international organizations.
Welcoming the Lithuanian diplomat, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called Lithuania a priority partner of our country in the Baltic region and the European Union.
The importance of intensifying intergovernmental cooperation and expanding interaction between the business circles of the two countries in the fields of transport and logistics, construction and manufacturing was emphasized.
Gabrielius Landsbergis conveyed to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev the warm greetings and best wishes of the President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda, and stressed that Lithuania considers Kazakhstan as a leading trade and economic partner in Central Asia.
During the meeting, there was also an exchange of views on topical issues on the international agenda.
