The number of vacancies on EST in May exceeded the number of resumes 1.6 times

According to the data of the Center for the Development of Human Resources JSC (hereinafter referred to as the CDHR, in May, 1.6 times more vacancies (75.3 thousand) than the CV (46.4 thousand .).

Compared to April, the total number of vacancies on ESTs decreased by 15%, and the number of resumes – by 33%. Meanwhile, in the North Kazakhstan and Aktobe regions, there is an increase in demand for labor resources. If in January of this year the number of job seekers exceeded the number of vacancies by 5.2 thousand and for each vacant position there were 1.1 resumes, then since February the gap between vacant positions and job seekers has continued to grow in favor of the former. As a result, resumes posted in May covered only 62% of the total demand for ESTs. Such a change in the structure of the labor market speaks of the positive impact of the restoration of the economic situation in the country and the gradual stabilization of the processes of employment of citizens, in particular through the site enbek.kz.

In turn, compared to the previous month, the number of vacancies and resumes at EST decreased by 13.7 thousand and 22.8 thousand, respectively. One of the reasons is that most of the recruitment for spring field and seasonal work is completed in April than in May. So, over the month, the number of vacancies for agricultural workers decreased 2.1 times, and the number of job seekers – 1.9 times. At the same time, the demand for skilled and unskilled labor resources by profession has not undergone significant changes. As in previous periods, there was a shortage of security guards (457 resumes versus 1764 vacancies), car drivers (937 resumes and 1545 vacancies), paramedical personnel (556 resumes and 1089 vacancies) among qualified personnel at EST. At the same time, there was a shortage of trade workers – shop assistants and their assistants, cashiers and ticket sellers, as well as sales consultants.

Along with loaders and handymen, there was a shortage of unskilled construction workers among unskilled workers in May. Thus, in the reporting month, employers published 584 vacancies for unskilled workers in construction on EST, which is almost 10 times more than the supply on the market (59 CVs). At the same time, 55% of such vacancies were in the cities of Almaty (184 vacancies) and Nur-Sultan (90 vacancies), as well as in the Karaganda region (51 vacancies), which is obviously associated with the improvement of weather conditions and the intensification of construction work. It should be noted that in May the supply of unskilled labor also remained almost unchanged. Among qualified applicants, in addition to livestock breeders, animal caretakers and lawyers, there was an oversupply among boiler operators (33 vacancies versus 226 resumes), physical education and sports teachers (69 vacancies and 203 resumes), biology teachers (37 vacancies and 167 resumes). “It should be noted that the increase in the number of applicants for the positions of teachers and operators of boiler houses has a seasonal nature – in the summer, such specialists are mostly not required. And most likely we will be able to observe an increase in demand for such specialists already at the beginning of autumn, ”explained Alexandra Molchanovskaya, Director of the Strategy and Project Management Department of the RTC. Regional analysis in May shows an increase in the number of vacancies at ESTs only in two regions – North Kazakhstan (+ 30%) and Aktobe (+ 13%) regions. Thus, the largest increase in new jobs in North Kazakhstan was noted in the categories “employees in the field of administration” (+ 97%) and “workers in industry, construction and transport” (+ 76%). While the list of scarce professions in the region was topped by archivists (7 resumes versus 196 vacancies), survey interviewers (0 resumes and 177 vacancies), and agricultural machine engineers (63 resumes and 158 vacancies). As for the Aktobe region, the most tangible increase in the number of vacancies was noted for such groups as “farmers and agricultural workers” (2.2 times) and “unskilled workers” (+ 64%). Meanwhile, in the TOP of the scarce professions in the region were mainly service workers, namely security guards (79 resumes versus 190 vacancies), kitchen workers (15 resumes and 115 vacancies) and maids (1 resume and 76 vacancies). As the dynamics of posted resumes shows, in May the number of applicants decreased in all regions, with the exception of Aktobe region. Thus, the number of published CVs in the region increased by 9%, amounting to 3,763 units. At the same time, the growth in the number of resumes in the Aktobe region was due to the increase in the number of resumes involving unskilled labor.

Among the regions, the largest number of resumes in May were posted by residents of Almaty (10%) and Turkestan (9.6%) regions, while the maximum number of vacancies falls on the cities of republican significance – Nur-Sultan (12.4%) and Almaty (10.8 %).
