The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan comments on the statistics on morbidity and mortality of CVI
In early May 2021, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan published the final official data on mortality from CVI for 2020, formed by the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms (BNS ASPIR) based on data from three sources from information systems of state bodies (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan , BNS ASPIR).
Annually, this procedure, according to the approved Statistical Work Plan, ends at the end of April of the current year for the previous year. Also, the operational data of the Ministry of morbidity and mortality from CVI for 4 months of the current year and for the last day were also indicated separately.
At the same time, WHO recommends publishing statistical data on the number of registered cases of sick and deaths from CVI starting from the first days of registration of CVI to the current day with an increase. In this regard, the Ministry returned to the previous format of providing information on morbidity and mortality from CVI on the official resource of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, indicating morbidity and mortality rates on an increasing basis from March 13, 2020 and taking into account the final data of 2020 on mortality from CVI. For reference: According to the BNS ASPIR, at the end of 2020, the number of deaths from СVI was 4,729 people, of which from CVI “+” – 1,783, from CVI “-” – 2,946. According to the Ministry’s operational data, the number of deaths from CVI for 4 months in 2021 and 20 days in May 2021 with an increase was 2,373 people, of which from CVI “+” – 1 984, from CVI “-” – 389.
