Mothers with many children received benefits in the amount of 113.6 billion tenge
From January to June 2020, payments of state benefits for large families covered 389.1 thousand families on average for a total of 113.6 billion tenge. In June, 398,091 families received this type of benefit for a total of 19.7 billion tenge.
Families with 4 or more minor children or full-time students under the age of 23 can apply for this state allowance, regardless of their income. The amount of payments is differentiated depending on the number of children from 44,532 thousand tenge (4 children) to 77,951 thousand tenge (7 children), with 8 or more children – 4 MCI for each child.
Thus, the expansion of this benefit has been ensured by establishing separate sizes for families with 8 or more children. The corresponding law was signed by the Head of State on May 13 this year.
The allowance for a family with 8 children is set at 88 896 tenge, with 9 children – 100 008 tenge, from 10 – 111 120 tenge, from 11 – 122 232 tenge, from 12 – 133 344 tenge, from 13 – 144 456 tenge, from 14 – 155 568 tenge, from 15 – 166 680 tenge, from 16 – 177 792 tenge.
The law came into force on January 1, 2020, in this regard, the amount of benefits for large families with 8 or more children was recalculated from the moment of their appointment. Thus, the unpaid amount was accrued in July this year.
In general, 191.1 billion tenge is provided from the republican budget for the payment of welfare benefits for large families in 2020.
Recall, that a new state allowance for large families without taking into account their income was introduced in Kazakhstan on January 1, 2020, within the framework of three main areas of support for low-income and large families, provided for by new mechanisms for providing targeted social assistance.
