17 thousand jobs will be created this year
In the framework of the Industrialization Map, this year it is planned to create 17 thousand new jobs and plans to implement 160 projects in the mining and metallurgical complex, the construction industry, the chemical industry, mechanical engineering, oil and gas chemistry, oil refining, pharmaceuticals, the agro-industrial complex, and food production in the amount of 1.1 trillion tenge with the creation of more than 17 thousand permanent jobs.
The largest number of projects is planned to be implemented in Almaty (33 projects) and Aktobe (20 projects) regions. In terms of funding, the leaders are Karaganda (256.4 billion tenge) and Almaty (230.2 billion tenge) regions.
All projects are implemented at the expense of banks’ own and credit resources; domestic entrepreneurs act as initiators of the projects.
The use of measures to limit the spread of coronavirus led to a decrease in economic activity, including a decrease in business and investment activity, a reduction in consumer and investment demand, and a restriction in business mobility, which, together with delays in the supply of raw materials and components, limits production activity.
Nevertheless, by the decision of the State Commission to ensure the state of emergency under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 13 of this year, the phased resumption of work of business entities will be carried out subject to the maintenance of strict sanitary and epidemiological measures while observing the distancing of employees at workplaces.
In this regard, the commissioning of projects is planned to be carried out in the 2nd half of 2020.
In order to prevent the deadlines for completion of construction projects, the regions were sent appropriate recommendations on the need to revise the schedule of construction and installation works and increase the pace of construction of socially significant objects after quarantine measures are lifted.
At the same time, taking into account the need for high-quality work in the regions, at the end of May of this year, it is planned to hold hearings of all regions on the implementation of projects in 2020.
