Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev took part in the work of the XII Astana Economic Forum “Inspiring growth: people, cities, economies”
Nur-Sultan, EXPO Congress Center
Speaking to the participants of the plenary session of the Forum, the First President of Kazakhstan emphasized the important role of the AEF in the process of overcoming regional and global challenges.
– Recommendations and ideas that were discussed here in previous years, in many ways, helped Kazakhstan to respond to global challenges in a timely manner and successfully overcome difficulties. You know, the Kazakhstan model of development, despite all the circumstances and forecasts, has already proved its stability and effectiveness. We set ambitious goals, and we achieved them, said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
During the plenary session, Elbasy shared his views on the recent changes in the global economy and proposed a number of ideas for improving the interstate dialogue. In his speech, the First President of Kazakhstan focused on the development of the global economy, digitalization, transformation of educational processes, raising the requirements for human capital, as well as the prospects for urbanization.
– As you can see, the horizons of economic planning are very narrow. Ways to get out of difficult situations can and should be found in the framework of international organizations and forums, such as the UN, G-20, World Trade Organization. It is time to move on to joint discussion and management. Recently, at the second Forum “One Belt, One Road” in Beijing, I proposed to form a sustainable global architecture based on the new geopolitical reality “Three D”, which implies the establishment of a dialogue at three levels, – said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
In addition, Elbasy offered to take measures to expand the format of the international dialogue at the AEF site.
“I have no doubt that the ideas expressed here will contribute to finding solutions to the most complex and pressing issues of world politics and economics,” noted the First President of Kazakhstan.
