By May, 109 thousand Kazakhstanis were vaccinated against CVI – Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Health has ensured maximum access to vaccinations. For mass immunization of the population, 1,400 vaccination points have been opened, in all polyclinics and large shopping centers of the country, including 300 mobile ones. More than 11 thousand medical workers are involved in the vaccination campaign.

By the end of April, access to vaccinations was provided for 2.3 million Kazakhstanis.

1,293,379 people received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on a voluntary basis and 266,457 people received the second dose of the vaccine. According to the world ranking of 177 countries, Kazakhstan ranks 51st in terms of the absolute number of people vaccinated against coronavirus infection as of April 30.

It should be noted that the rate of vaccination depends on the conscious approach of the citizens themselves, on their correct choice in favor of the health of their loved ones and universal immunity.

At the same time, vaccination is carried out on a voluntary basis, and residents of the country have a choice of three types of vaccines (SputnikV, QazVac and HayatVax).

The daily rate of vaccination in the republic as of April 30, 2021 increased to 109 thousand and increased 11 times compared to the data as of April 1 of this year.

Maintaining these rates of population activity will provide vaccination coverage of about 2 million of the country’s population every month.

The vaccines used in Kazakhstan have been tested for safety and efficacy, therefore they are a proven remedy against coronavirus infection. It is important to remember that today only vaccination will stabilize the epidemiological situation in the country.

Currently, there is a sharp increase in the spread of coronavirus infection around the world. So, according to the statistics of the World Health Organization as of April 30 of this year. 151 104 146 cases of COVID infection were registered – 19, of which 128 987 465 people recovered, 3 178 208 died, the mortality rate is 2.1%.

879,586 cases are registered per day, the increase in the total number of cases of coronavirus infection is 0.6%.

At the same time, there is a tendency towards stabilization of the growth of morbidity in Kazakhstan. Over the past three weeks, the incidence has remained on average at the level of 2.6 thousand cases per day.

Achieving herd immunity through mass immunization of the population is the only alternative to restrictive measures and an effective way to combat the ongoing global pandemic.
