Bolat Tokejanov was appointed as Head of the Health Insurance Fund

By order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bolat Turzhanovich Tokejanov was appointed as a Chairman of the Board of the NAO “Social Health Insurance Fund”. Today, Minister of Health Alexei Tsoi introduced the new leader to the staff of the Fund.

 

“Bolat Turganovich has extensive experience in the healthcare sector, he was directly involved in the implementation of the most significant reforms in the industry, he knows all the problems from inside. This is a very valuable experience since the Health Insurance Fund has a special status as a strategic purchaser of medical care for the entire population and a financial operator of OSMS and GBVMP packages. It is important to ensure the clarity, transparency, and consistency of all processes – from the purchase and expenditure of funds for medical care. Today, in such a difficult period for the country’s health care, the role of the Medical Insurance Fund is more important than ever as a reliable source of payments for the fight against coronavirus, ”A. Tsoi said during the presentation.

The Minister emphasized that this appointment is a huge responsibility and it is necessary to cope with the tasks set by the Head of State in a short time.

Bolat Tokejanov was born on July 19, 1972 in the East Kazakhstan region of the Kazakh SSR.

In 1994 he graduated from the Kazakh State Academy of Management with a degree in economics. In 2010, he received a master’s degree in public and local government from the National School of Public Policy of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

He studied at the Sandford School of Public Policy, Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, USA, also at the School of Public Policy. Lee Kuan Yew National University of Singapore.

Bolat Tokejanov has experience in the tax service system of Kazakhstan, he headed the healthcare organizations in the East Kazakhstan region.

In different years, he held senior positions in the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He worked as vice-minister, executive secretary of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

He was awarded the Order “Urmet”, an excellent student of healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Married, has three children.
