Benefits for the use of toll roads are planned to be expanded

In 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan initiated a draft law providing for amendments to preferential travel on toll road sections. The document assumes an increase in the list of beneficiaries.

Thus, it is planned to include veterans of the Great Patriotic War and persons equated to them in the category of persons with preferential travel on toll sections of republican roads. The draft law is under consideration in the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Today, users living in settlements adjacent to the toll road have the opportunity of an annual tariff of 1,000 tenge to move within one district.
Buses carrying out regular passenger transportation, buses in areas adjacent to the toll road, emergency medical services, firefighting services, emergency services, patrol police, and military equipment are exempted from fares.
