At the end of January 2021, a positive trend continued in the manufacturing industry. In metallurgy, production increased by 3.1%. For example, in the direction of ferrous metallurgy in the “ArcelorMittal Temirtau” JSC, there is an increase in steel production by 2.1%. Recall that the enterprise specializes in the production of flat and long products, including those with polymer, zinc, and aluminum coatings, and also produces sinter, iron ore and coal concentrate, coke, cast iron, steel, including continuously cast slabs, strips, spar strip, electric welded pipes, and related products of blast-furnace and coke-chemical industries.

And also “Taraz Metallurgical Plant” increased the production of ferrosilicon manganese by 91%. The plant is an integrated manufacturer of ferroalloys, electrode paste, and phosphorus products. The industrial zone is 632 hectares – it is smelting shops, office buildings, warehouses. The infrastructure allows servicing 13 furnaces with a total capacity of 400 thousand tons of alloys per year.
Temirtau Electrometallurgical Plant increased its ferroalloy production by 1%. The main activity of the company is the extraction of manganese ore and limestone, the production of ferroalloys and calcium carbide from them, and their sale. Having its own raw material base and production facilities, the plant has created a complete production cycle Raw materials – production – finished product.
All products have certificates of conformity of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Quality control of products manufactured by the plant is carried out by an accredited testing center. The control of the emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere is carried out by a certified sanitary laboratory of the security department.
In non-ferrous metallurgy, the growth in production was 6.6%. In turn, the Kazakhmys Corporation increased the production of gold in bars by 52% and silver in granules by 33%.
And also in “Tau-Ken Altyn” there is an increase in the production of refined gold by 4% and refined silver by 46.7%.
Kazakhstan metallurgical company “Casting” increased its production of cathode copper by 19%. Having mastered unique technologies for complex processing of secondary raw materials, using its own developments and know-how, today the company produces a wide range of products from ferrous and non-ferrous metals: steel billets, grinding balls and rods, rebar, cathode copper and copper products, bronze, brass, aluminum and lead alloys.
