Akim of Almaty region received women in honor of the 8- th of March
Today, the akim of Almaty region Amandyk Batalov held a solemn reception of women in honor of the 8- th of March, who distinguished themselves by success in various fields. The head of the region, Amandyk Batalov, expressed words of sincere gratitude to the Zhetysu women, including labor veterans, mothers of large families, public figures, entrepreneurs, volunteers, and outstanding workers in various industries, – the press service of the akim of the Almaty region reports.
“The past year and the beginning of the current year were difficult. The pandemic affected all areas, but thanks to cohesion and government support measures, together we have maintained stable development and achieved good performance in all areas. The volume of industrial production exceeded 1 trillion. tenge, in agriculture, exceeded 900 billion tenge. Attracted 680 billion tenge of investments, created more than 60 thousand jobs. This is your great merit. After all, a modern woman is not only a mother and a spouse, she is both a loyal partner and a reliable companion in all matters, ”said Amandyk Batalov, who during the meeting congratulated the entire female community of the region on the upcoming spring holiday:

By the way, the total population of the Almaty region as of January 1, 2021, is 2,077,700 people, of which 1,098,948 are women. There are 7,081 people working in the civil service in the region, 51% of them are women. 57 residents of the region are deputies of maslikhats of different levels, 386 women occupy leadership positions in local executive bodies, 9 186 run enterprises and institutions.
